? Business process inside companies Business process inside companies The paper explores the various the various business processes that take place inside a company. This is through elaborating on the processes that take place in the department of the organization. The organization in this discussion is involved in the provision of online services to customers. However, numerous departments in the organization facilitate the undertaking of operation in the organization. Administration This department has the role of managing the website in order to ensure that it is up to date in terms of the materials that it contains to be viewed by the customer. The department conducts regular updating of the website with the resent information for the business to cope with the changing environment. The department also has the responsibility of managing the suppliers and vendors in the organization. This is through ensuring that the materials received are in a cost effective manner for the business to make the target profit. There are numerous activities, which are involved in order to ensure that the suppliers and vendors are managed effectively. One of these activities includes the sending and receiving of invoices to customers and from the suppliers respectively. When the materials are received from the vendors, and the suppliers, the department communicates to the department of finance and accounting in order to make payment. The department has also the responsibility of sending the invoices to those customers who have been billed for getting the services from the organization. All these transactions in the organizations have a lot of documentation, and the organization has the responsibility of keeping records of transactions in the business. Human resource department In this department, there is the management of the employee in the organization. The department seeks to monitor the employees in terms of the utilization of their time in the operations of the business. The organization keeps the track on the time that the employee reports to work, and when time they left in order to determine the number of hours that they have worked. The department sends this information to the finance department in order to be used for the payment of the employee’s salary. The department also concentrates on the employee benefit systems while keeping the relevant documents of the payment details. The department files the tax on the salaries of employees for the federals purposes of tax payment. There is also the employee evaluation of their performance. The department also keeps records of their performance. The department actively engages in the reviews the performance of employees, for the identification of the best performing employee in the organization, in order for their efforts to be recognized, and awarded through the department there is an arrangement of training and development programs for employees. Accounting and Finance This department deals with the cash flows of the organization. This is in terms of the dealing with the cash payment and receiving of cash, for the monitoring of the cash flow of the organization. There is the coordination with the administration for the receiving of the invoices from suppliers in order to make payments to suppliers and vendors. This department processes the checks for making the payment of invoices. The checks are given to the administration for the payment. In the department, there is also coordination with the HR department for the updating of information about the employee payroll. This updates are made with the motive of making the alteration that are required for the compensation of employees for the services provided to the organization. The department processes the checks meant to make the payment of the employees’ salaries. Mail center The department receives the messages in the organization from the other departments. After receiving the messages, the department in turn does the processing on the message ,in order to identify the senders and indicate through confirmation that the message is sent. When the message is sent, the department has the responsibility of identifying the message status for the confirmation of the receiving of that message. The department also ensures that the message is received by the department that it was directed to in order to avoid the problems that are involved in the sending of the message. This facilitates the communication inter connection among the department and outside the business. The department also has the responsibility of receiving the invoices form the website and then redirects them to the relevant department for the confirmation process. After the department receives the invoices, it confirms and sends them to the administration department. This department is also involved in gathering of information, products and services in order to be sent to potential customers who have ordered for the services. The services and products are delivered to customers on time. IT department This department engages in the operation of running the website of the organization. This involves the regular checking for the ensuring that the website is uptime. This helps to identify the website when it is down time if it is down time the department informs their manager in order for the problem to be resolved. This department has the role of updating the malware protection software, which includes of the adware, spyware for the blocking of the potential treats to the system and getting rid of the identified viruses in the system. There is also the conducting of routine tests aimed at ensuring that there is the required routing, bandwidth and uptime security in the networks. It also involves the system maintenance by the assistance of the system developers in the organization and system support. Marketing This department of receives information other departments in order to make the relevant marketing strategies with the basis of the initiatives. The department engages in the implementation of the plan with an analysis for the business to be involved in the required marketing strategies. However, there is analysis techniques comprising of SWOT and PESTEL used for identification of the appropriate marketing strategy for application in the target market. This leads to the facilitation of the evaluation of the target market for the appropriate adjustment. The department communicates to the accounting and finance department for the acquisition of the required funds for implementation of the marketing strategy. The implementation strategy also involves notifying the IT department in order for the making the updates on the website with the content required for the marketing. Training and support department The department recruits the employees required to work in the organization. This department gets information from the HR department. The information is applied for the generation of the employee ID. The employees are entered into the HR systems through the department in order for them to be engaged in the required training. The department makes the efforts of developing intranet for the training site, courses and documentation. This department coordinates with the mailing center department for the notification of the addition of new employee in the system. Research and development This department has the role of acquiring information from other department in order to facilitate the establishment of a research and development process. After the completion of the research, the department sends the feedback to the relevant department. The department engages in the scanning the market for the merging the products and services with an impressive pattern, which is in accordance with the business models. The development staff engages in the development of the product and services. The completed development is sent to the IT department after completion. Logistics The logistics department deals with the receiving of the ensuring that the customer receives the services for orders that they have placed. When the department receives, the orders from the customer they communicate to the administration department. Afterwards, the administration communicates to the department in order to instruct them on making the relevant preparations in order to effect the shipment of the completed orders. The department informs the administration department of when there are services received from the vendors and suppliers. The department confirms the materials through the counting. The department also coordinates with the finance and accounting department for the ensuring of the logistics portion. This department also focuses on receiving and delivery of products and services.
