07 December How to be a better One becomes a better with practice. But before doing practice, it is very important to familiarize oneself with the rules of writing. Rules of writing differ depending upon which type of writing it is. For example, there are different rules to write a letter, an essay, an application, an evaluation, and an argument. These and all other types of writings are identified by their own rules and principles. One cannot produce a good piece of writing without knowing these rules.

These rules can be learnt by reading and carefully examining the papers of each type. Also, several books are available to teach these principles. Once the principles have been learnt, then one needs to develop vocabulary. Learning some new words on daily basis is a very good practice and causes one’s vocabulary to expand. This helps in writing because one knows what the exact word that should be used in a sentence to convey the meaning as one intends to be conveyed to the audience is. These days, dictionaries both in book form and those available online are very good sources of vocabulary building.

Once sufficient vocabulary has been built, one should practice writing papers of each type. In the start, it will take time. But as time passes, one will develop speed and will be able to write more in less time. Also, the quality of writing may not be very good in the start, but as one practices more, the quality of writing starts to improve. One needs to practice writing daily to achieve perfection.
