The next step for all of us was to focus on our personal parts. In my point of view I focused on creating persuasive content, which are likely to persuade the audience by logical, truthful evidence to support my claims, and to keep the presentation interesting from the beginning to the end. After finishing the initial research other members of the group were contacted to share the findings and to organise the slides. Moreover, on the meeting we discussed, who is going to outline our introduction?

(to introduce our group members, establish credibility and preview our main points) and outline our conclusion (to summarize our main points, restate our thesis, and end with a memorable statement) in detail. 2. What I/We Did Well and/or Would Do Differently in Terms of Our Presentation I think that we had a quite strong opening of the presentation which grabbed attention right from the beginning, the points we highlighted was relevant to the subject, and the ways we transited information from one major point to another was very clear.

Moreover, from my point of view I outlined and evaluated the main points of Globalisation with an interesting real life example of Osama bin laden. From the Afghan cave life of this antiglobalist terrorist, we can understand how the complex and contradictory process in globalization has affected the social dynamics of the world. With the aid of relevant visual aid Furthermore, the content was targeted the audience with the use of relevant and attractive visual aids. However, the presentation in general needed a little bit more evaluation.

If we had more group meetings where everyone attending, we would have been able to rehearse in front of each other and get feedback about what was missing and other comments. Furthermore, I would have made sure everyone spoke the same amount of time in the presentation. 3. The Key Points Which the Presentation Taught Us About the Subject From the research it was clear to us globalisation is not a recent phenomenon. The age of globalisation depends on how far we are going to look in to the history of actions such as technological and social arrangements which caused it.

Some arguments from the scholars state that, to understand the modern feature of globalisation it is only enough to look in post 1989 era or the last four decades maximally. But, in contradiction it is said the timeframe extends to technological development of 19th century and go further to emergence of modernity and capitalism of world system some five centuries ago, while some argue it started only in 20th century world wars. By considering these different ideas it is clear that, even though globalization was here for centuries we did not felt is presence until recent past. 3.1 Cultural globalisation Culture is considered as the base for common understanding among nations.

The development of information and communication technologies has contributed to the cultural interconnection greatly. For an example we can consider, how the number of television and receivers has increased more than fourfold within a short period according to UNESCO report in 1998. Further more in support; ‘global village’ concept was developed by the media theorist Marshall McLuhan, which refers to the transcendence of constraints of physical place enabled by new technologies that allow instant, inexpensive, global communication.

Broadly speaking, two types of globalists can be found, namely,
