(Take from presentation and paperwork on work stress and health. Scheduled in 2003 in Toronto)We have now a more racially diverse workforce, older and has a larger number of women. Moreover, the workforce is being reshaped by new ways of dependent work, contract labor, and employment practices. But we haven't understood yet that what will be the effect of this on worker health and safety in today's changing workplace. Another major problem is sexual harassment. The women's lobby in Europe states that around 40 to 50% of the women have experienced some form of sexual harassment or unwanted sexual behavior in the workplace.

( Taken from Dziech et al 1990, Boland 2002). In the United States Of America around 15000 cases of sexual harassment have been brought to the U.S Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) each year. Whereas a study from Hong Kong states that one-third of sexual harassment victims are males who are being targeted by female supervisors at the workplace. The chairperson of the Equal Opportunity Commission, Jenny Watson, says that: ' it affects both women and men, causing stress, health problems, and financial penalties when they leave their jobs to avoid it'.

(Dziech, 1990) and (Dziech et al 1990, Boland 2002)Technology is the commanding force in today's workplace, technologically literate people use tools, materials, systems, and processes in an informed, ethical, and responsible way. Technology education helps people to make independent decisions, solve problems, work independently, co-operative with others, and become technically competent in their field. To make up a better workplace in today's society you have to see that workers have adequate pay, benefits, and health care.

Those people who enjoy their work don't think that others don't have the same luxury, and spend most of their lives surrounded by bullies, creeps, jerks, tyrants. Now it is changing we should have a free atmosphere to work. No one should interfere in the other's matter and have a friendly place to work so that the target and goals can be achieved within a given time. Works cited. Sutton's new book, The No Asshole Rule: Building a Civilized Workplace and Surviving One That Isn't, 2007, January.
