Society keeps on changing with the times and this is what constitutes their history. History has each period having its own different features associated with it. Lastly, structures are various components of a society which come together to make the society whole and create order within the society (4). Gaines examines not only the history of the teens but also their biography when it comes to teen suicide.

Sociology relies heavily on theory that is proven through research being enforced. The theory and its explanations are logically deducted in order to explain the knowledge without having to rely heavily on assumptions. In addition, sociology relies on the validity and reliable of the research and the empirical experimentation and observations
