Ethics In the first article, Carlos Cortes reveals the existence of a negative image regarding the representation of Chicanos in films. A number of dilemmas arise in striving to establish the image Chicanos in the US films. The dilemmas evident in this film are the link between education and the Chicanos image and the degree of the effects of the negative stereotypes and their impact on education (Cortes 75). He reveals that the negative, predictable and permanent stereotypes portraying Chicanos as drug dealers and gang members lest the young Chicanos without role models Most of them get the exposure to incorrect, potentially damaging, and incorrect stereotypes.

He also highlights the role of ethnic and racial stereotypes in contributing to the depiction of the negative images in films. He attributes the depiction of the image of the Chicanos in films to stereotyping. He argues that the poverty, bandit, immigrant, and ignorant image portrayed in films are a manifestation of the perception of the media towards the Chicanos. The depiction of Chicanos as gang bandits is unfair. In this article, the writer attributes the stereotypical depiction of Chicanos in American films to the conduct in the writing, production, and release of ancient movies.

In their movies, they portrayed roles that imparted self-derogatory humor to the audience. They achieved this by revealing self-derogatory messages. The Chicanos incorporated the style to invoke change regarding other people’s perception. These messages affirmed traces of change. The article states that stereotyping affects a wide range of ethnicities and not necessarily Chicanos. All ethnic groups have cultures that show that their dirt, vile and uncivilized practices. The article attributes the fishing of compliments in movies as a cause of the negative stereotyping.

Amongst Mexican Americans, the expression of self-derogatory occurs through scatological joking (Noriega 185). The reaction towards rebellion emanate through jokes. Individuals found it more comfortable to attack stereotypes against minorities through comedy. Chicanos show resistance against the negative image depiction in US movies through creation of informational lyrics in their films. The article praises Chola as a culture that that portrays fierceness and subversion. Most artists embrace the Chola style to invoke feminine fierceness and rebellion.

In this article, the incorporation of Cholas has a significance of exemplifying remarkable strength and artistic independence that is relevant for survival in a society, especially in the existent of racism that has thwarted a society’s social mobility. The power in cholas is evident in their capability to deal with gangsters, warfare, poverty, and violence. The article affirms in cultural appropriations that the chola tradition signifies struggle and tough life in gaining identity (Fregoso 322).

The foundation of pachucas culture was a symbolization of rebellion against the Word War II. The Pachuca culture orients towards radicalization and thus it is easier to use it to effect some change. With the advancement in technology, social aspects of life such as fashion can work well in portraying resistance. The culture of Chola and Pachuca’s are agreeable.
